Rescuing and rebuilding Your Pilates Physio

Another agency missed the brief. We audited what they'd built, then rebuilt it properly across web, iOS and Android — and gave the client a CMS so they're not waiting on us to add a class.

  • Rescuedafter a previous agency missed the brief
  • Web + iOS + Androidone platform, built by one team
  • Custom CMSso the client manages classes, videos and user data

The problem

Your Pilates Physio had already paid another agency to build this once. What came back didn't do what the brief asked for, and the user experience was the kind that makes people close the tab. They came to us to fix what was already built, not start again from nothing.

Auditing before rebuilding

We didn't rip everything out on day one. We audited the existing Python and Django backend for technical debt, reviewed the Flutter app end to end, and sat down with the client to separate what the brief actually needed from what the previous build had guessed at. That took longer than diving straight into code, but it meant we didn't just rebuild the same mistakes more neatly.

Shipping in sprints, not a big reveal

We rebuilt in sprints with regular check-ins, so the client saw working software every couple of weeks instead of waiting months for a reveal that might land wrong. The highest-impact features went first: user assessments, tailored class recommendations, progress tracking. A custom CMS meant the client could manage classes and videos themselves, without filing a ticket every time they wanted to add a session.

What happened

A platform that finally does what the original brief asked for — on iOS, Android and the web, from one Django and Flutter codebase, with unit testing that means a Friday afternoon deploy doesn't have to be a nervous one.

And a client who owns their own content now, instead of waiting on someone else to update it.
